Most agents hear "revenue share" and picture a pyramid scheme or a pile of fine print. At iad it is simpler than that, and worth understanding before you decide anything. Here is how it works.

What revenue share is

Revenue share is a way to earn from the growth of the network you help build. When agents you bring in close deals, you earn a small percentage tied to those transactions. You still do your own production and keep your own split. Revenue share sits on top.

The five tiers

iad pays across five tiers, measured as a percentage of GCI:

  • Tier 1: 7%
  • Tier 2: 3%
  • Tier 3: 1.5%
  • Tier 4: 0.5%
  • Tier 5: 0.2%

Tier 1 is the agents you personally sponsor. Tier 2 is the agents they sponsor, and so on down the line. The percentages shrink with each tier, which is how the model stays sustainable.

What makes it different

  • Paid monthly
  • No caps on what you can earn
  • No resets and no levels to unlock before you get paid

A simple example

This is an illustration, not a promise of income. Say the agents in your first tier close a combined $200,000 in GCI over a year. At 7%, that tier alone is $14,000. Add a second tier and a third, and the numbers start to build. Results depend entirely on who joins, how active they are and how many deals they close.

Who it fits

Revenue share works best for agents who like mentoring, recruiting or building a small team. If you only want to focus on your own deals, you can ignore it and still get the 80/20 split, the flat $99 monthly fee and the support that comes with it. Building a team is optional.

Questions to ask any brokerage

  • How many tiers pay, and at what percentage?
  • Are there caps, resets or qualification levels?
  • How often are payments made?
  • What happens to your share if you stop selling?
